Well, whatever. It's not like things could really get worse from here. He's already failed in his mission - although the blood on his blade tells him he at least did damage, the Crawford girl is still woefully alive. And of course he had to have his identity revealed on top of all of it, right? This should have been a simple mission, and Aiden can't bear to think of what might happen should he return to his father and the headmaster.
It's just one more failure in the long line of them that made up his entire damn life. He looks up at his roommate, his now-former friend, and it becomes very clear to him that with this latest failure, he's lost everything. His father will never care, just like he has never cared up until now. He's no better than Thanatos to Donovan. And although he's never quite trusted them, he's undoubtedly lost the few friends he's managed to make since coming here.
He looks down at the ground once more, shaking. It becomes clear after a moment that the shaking is from laughter - soft and uneven, like his breathing, but still rather unhinged.]
So, you got me, Alade. You win. What now?

Alade is at least grateful that Jeb and Jebbi are able to heal Tori's wounds and that she's in no real danger anymore (for the moment, for the moment--), but it doesn't change the betrayal. The pain.]
That should be obvious. [He makes an attempt to disarm Aiden and kick the knife away, willing to wrench Aiden's wrist painfully if he has to.] You tell me why, you miserable bastard!

[He can't explain why he finds all of this funny. Had even a small portion of all that had happened tonight happened to him before, he knows well how badly it would have hurt - knows well the hours, if not days, he would have spent locked away in his room, crying and miserable. Perhaps some small part of him recognizes how badly it does hurt, but it's not making its way to the rest of him.
But then again, there was no way this mission could have ended in anything but tears, right? Side with his "friends," and lose his family - and everything he's worked for up until now. Do as he was told, and lose the people who maybe could have actually cared - no. No, they never could have, and they never did. That's why he'd chosen this path to begin with, right? And it doesn't matter anymore, anyway. The choice has long since been made, he has failed, and here he is now. The only thing left is to face the consequences.]
But that's not what I meant, Alade. What are you going to do about it? Certainly, hurting my wrist like this isn't going to avenge what I did to Tori, is it?
